What better way to study the sea for a painting commission than swimming out with a camera. Even better that it is on the beautiful island of Bryher.
Before the Storm was painted on Bryher looking out to sea and the sky was very ominous. It looks good on the wooden wall of our home. Pity the dog steals the limelight.
Such a familiar sight in Penzance but I love painting the scene from this angle with or without the flags.
