​Sycamores grow in abundance all over Cornwall. Once woodland had been cleared to feed the tin mines it was the sycamores that returned more speedily than other species. But they are beautiful; trees and form shelter belts for our gardens; growing into huge stately trees in twisted and gnarled shapes that delight any artist.
