Penny enjoys a bit of surrealism and after listening to Brian Cox talking about alien life she conjured up a painting to express the sentiment. We are probably the only advanced form of life in our own galaxy but there will be other life in other distant galaxies. Using the same techniques as her seascape paintings Penny has built up many layers so that 'space' looks deep and fascinating.
